What did you do with your wedding dress

Every time I visit my childhood home and open my old closet a giant white box glares at me. It stuffed with my clean and pressed wedding dress, and it awaits transport to my current home in Philadelphia. Yet month after month, year after year, it sits in my parents home collecting dust.

I wanted to sell my wedding dress the month after my wedding. I didn have any attachment to my gown and I didn think it mattered if I kept it. Plus, I was excited at the idea of making a few extra bucks after all the wedding expenses. My new husband wouldn let me sell it though. Being the sentimental one in our family, he mentioned wanting to save it for our daughter one day.

What girl has actually worn her mother wedding dress? It like when you in a wedding and the bride promises that you get to wear the dress to so many other events because it just so versatile! That hardly ever true. I only been in a few weddings, but most of the dresses have been too bridesmaidsy to wear anywhere else. It never matters though because it not the point.

Anyway, now, four years after my wedding, I finally have a beautiful, healthy daughter. Am I happy that I saved that gorgeous dress for her? Nope. I still regret not selling it.

Classic Red Linen Cheongsam Dress L012677
Retro mandarin collar, exquisite frog buttons, cap sleeve. With exquisite handcrafted, show an oriental fashion style dress. This dress having gorgeous pattern is unique and modern. This elegant qipao dress show the unique morbidezza of women.

My friend has a beautiful clutch made out of her mom wedding dress. I love that idea, but if Alessandra is anything like me, she be too lazy to find someone to make one for her.

For now, the dress lives in the same closet where I grew up stashing my Pretty, Pretty Princess set, all my Fraggle Rock stuffed animals, and my Cabbage Patch kids. I hope that my gown will one day again see light, even if it in the form of a teenage year Halloween costume where my daughter makes fun of mom silly 2009 style and dresses up as a retro bride. Until then, my wedding dress remains simply another item stored in a box.

I could wear my moms wedding dress when I was 10 so there was no hope I was ever going to wear it. She was only 5 feet 90lbs when she got married and I was 5 130lbs on my wedding day. Factor in the difference in breast size and that dress would of barely made it over my hips.

This nice qipao/cheongsam is of modern cutting in slim fit with medium length. Made by Chinese traditional craftsman, this qipao/cheongsam is quality. This dress having gorgeous pattern is unique and modern. This showy qipao/cheongsam dress suitable for all kinds of parties.

The lady that did the alterations on my dress was going to have it cleaned for me as she was a friend of the family and she felt bad that the bustle fell and it got so dirty. She never got it cleaned and after a year or so my mom picked it up. It sits in her closet at their house doing nothing.

I doubt my daughter will wear it as she is very tall already and looking to toward over me as I did my mom, my husband is 6 She is at 4 taller than I was at 5, so there is no hope.

No sure what to do with it. I am not someone that is attached to objects but selling it seems wrong for some reason. If it burned in a fire I would not shed a tear over it traditional chinese wedding dress but taking it and throwing it in the trash would be impossible.

My SIL wore her mother wedding dress. It was beautiful. I wanted to wear my mother dress, but hers burned down in a fire at her mother house (where she kept it after her wedding). So, don automatically assume that your daughter won want it. I know my sister wouldn have wanted to wear my mom dress, but I am the same body type and my mom dress was really beautiful, so I would totally have worn it. Not to mention it would saved me some money. I love the dress I picked and will definitely save it for my daughter but it not a traditional dress.

I didn really like my mom Probably for the best, as she was 6 months pregnant with me when they got married! lol Besides, she didn keep it, and my parents divorced acrimoniously when I was 22 anyway. I wanted to wear my great grandma but even at 110lbs, the silk dress was just too small. I did wear her petticoat under my dress tho:) I still have hers. Mine was made for me by a friend, for our Renstyle wedding, and I would wear it every day if I could get away with it! It boxed up, waiting for a perfect time for one of my 4 daughters or me to play dress up:) 15 years later, I still love it. Of course, 15 years later, I more in love with my husband than ever, so maybe that has something to do with it:)

In my first wedding, cheap dresses online shopping I wore my aunt wedding gown because I just didn have the money to buy my own, and I liked the idea of a handmedown tradition. However, it was NOT my style at all, and what I learned is that wearing a wedding dress that isn feels a lot like wearing a very expensive Halloween costume.

Lovely Pink Improved Qipao Dress Goldfish Printing C094514
Unique waist design of this qipao/cheongsam will show your charming and graceful figure. Modern cutting showing a great body shape and making it a charming fashionable chic Chinese style floral printing on this nice brocade, very gorgeous and elegant. Suitable for some semi-formal and formal occasions.

The dress from my second wedding is hanging in my closet. I not usually a packrat and I have no expectation of my daughter ever wearing it, but I can stand the thought of getting rid of it.

Here my terrible confession: I spent my career working in museums. I know how to archive and preserve textiles, and yet, my dress is hanging in my closet? I know better.

Like most of the women here I loved my wedding dress but what was I going to do with it now that the wedding was over? I have no illusions that my daughter will want to wear it when she gets married and although, both my sisters and I used my mom dress to play dressup in as kids, I not sure that I want to do that either. I bought a proper gown and spent a fortune, then we eloped. So my rehearsal dinner dress became my wedding dress. My wedding gown, veil, and matching jacket are sitting upstairs in the garment bag they arrived in. There nowhere here I could get it preserved so it sits waiting. Were probably moving soon though and I take it with me and have it preserved wherever we end up.

I wanted to sell or donate it but my husband won let me. He wants me to save it. He told me he wants to renew our vows in the future and I can wear it then. After saying something so sweet and romantic I had to keep it.

It was never altered and I glad. Cause if I keep my awesome nursing boobs it won need any work, lol!

Chinese Traditional Red Dress Elegant Improved Qipao Dress C014655
The design of mandarin collar and the Chinese frog buttons are inherited from the traditional-style. Made by Chinese traditional craftsman, this qipao/cheongsam is quality. Then the pretty patterns add some elegant element to this Chinese style qipao dress. You deserve this exquisite cheongsam dress.
I loved my dress so much, I just couldn part with it. Which is funny because I am really not into clothes or fashion, but I loved that dress. It is cleaned and boxed up and taking up a lot of room in my closet in our tiny two bedroom apartment that our 4 person family lives in. I crazy I know. I do have two daughters. Maybe one of them will be interested in it. I would have loved to wear my Mother but I was not as tiny as her and also, it would have been weird to wear the dress from her failed marriage to my dad. I don know what to do with it, but I can part with it either.

How To Throw a 25th Wedding Anniversary Party

The first order of business is deciding what kind of party best suits the occasion and your guests of honor. You can always run a few ideas by them and see what they would prefer. A silver anniversary bash can be a blow out black tie affair at some posh hotel ballroom. Some people recreate the original wedding reception, complete with the color scheme, bridesmaids and groomsmen, music, gueststhe whole shebang. But an intimate cocktail party at home, brunch at a favorite restaurant, a casual backyard BBQ or a potluck at the church hall can be just as memorable.

Theme parties are okay too, but how do you choose themes for a 25th anniversary party? "There's no standard anymore," says party consultant Wendi Hroncich, who owns Ethereal Events in Seattle, WA. She claims, "All traditions have been thrown out the window." So what's the bottom line? The kind of party you host really depends on the wishes of the couple and the size of your wallet. Whatever you decide, though, make sure you start planning early. Halls, caterers, even guests get booked well in advance these days, especially during primo party months. "[Planning] can be done in three months, but you may not get your first choice of venue, band or night," says Hroncich. "If you want the best of the best, the more time the better." In Seattle, for example, May through October is the busy wedding season. If you are planning a party for a Saturday night in September at some swank downtown hotel, you need to make reservations a year ahead to be safe.

Gorgeous Qipao Dress With Chinese Roses Printing Real Silk S083554
Retro mandarin collar matches the exquisite hand-made Chinese frog button, which will modify the curve of clavicle perfectly. It is of modern cutting in slim fit. The printing is very elegant and gorgeous! This is something you can wear in casual places and at semi-formal parties as well.
The guest list should include the honored couple's close friends and family. You may also want to expand the circle to include coworkers, spiritual advisors or members of the couple's original wedding party. The final headcount will likely influence the location for the party. Most homes work well for smaller, more intimate affairs. But if the guest list starts ballooning, you may need a restaurant or banquet hallthe kind of facility that offers enough space, bathrooms and parking to accommodate a crowd. If you're not planning a surprise party, the guest list is easy; just sit down with the couple and hammer it out. If it is a surprise, you can discreetly quiz the couple, then consult their closest confidantes to get a sense of who's in and who's out. Once you've created your guest list, "save the date" emails or phone calls are a good idea, especially for outoftown guests who may have to make travel arrangements.

If you're working with a tight budget, don't despair. There are ways to scale any event up or down depending on how much you have to spend. The cost of a traditional hotel event, for example, can be shrunk considerably by holding it on a weeknight rather than a weekend, opting for a cash bar or serving a selection of appetizers instead of a full dinner. You can also edit down the guest list. A budget of, say, $1,000 will go a lot farther for a party of 20 than one of 200.

Traditional Silk Maxi Cheongsam Dress For Wedding W011059
This nice full dress is of modern cutting in slim fit with maxi length. This stunning long dress starts off with a classic sweetheart neckline. A drop waistline and trumpet style full dress in layers of luxurious tulle add to the glamour of this exquisite prom dress. Like an eye-catching piece of art made wearable, this stunning long full dress has a spotlight grabbing style that is unique and chic.
Once you settle on the type of party, guest list and budget, it's time to dive traditional cheongsam Promotion into the details of the event itself. Location is one of the most important things. The venue sets the tone for the evening. Once again, think of the couple. Did they get married on a beach? If so, consider holding it on a boat, or at a waterfront venue. Do they love wine? Art? Golf? Wineries, museums and country clubs offer event spaces. There are also all manner of lofts, private restaurant dining rooms, banquet and chinese dress church halls, community centers and outdoor gardens available for rent. Just remember that not every space comes fully equipped with everything you'll need. Many community centers, for instance, lack kitchens. Depending on your choice of venue, you may have to hire a vendor or two to provide food, tables and chairs, glassware, linens, etc. Likewise, if you decide to host it at home, you may want to supplement with extra tables, chairs, silverware, glassware, etc. Depending on the season and size of the crowd, you may also consider renting a tent and a port o potty or two.

Once again, the amount and kinds of food and drink you provide depend on the style of party, the couple's preferences and your budget. Food and beverages are usually the biggest line item when it comes to a party. Will it be finger food or a full dinner? Will you serve wine and beer or have a full bar? Having it at a restaurant, hotel or country club simplifies the food and beverage process. If you're using a hall or community center, be sure to take stock of what they do and don't provide and plan the party accordingly. You might, for instance, want to hire a fullservice caterer who can supply not only the food and drink, but all the other accoutrements as well (silverware, tables, etc.).

This modern qipao/cheongsam dress with high-quality fabric. With masterful tailoring, this qipao will build an elegant and fashion image. The printing on this dress is very vivid and luxurious! This gorgeous qipao dress show the unique morbidezza of women.
If you decide to host at home, Wendi Hroncich offers these ideas: "Bring in a caterereven if it's just one person to help prep and serve so that you can enjoy the party." Hiring a cleaning person to come in the day before the party and the day after is also money well spent. If you're watching your budget, a buffet may be the way to go. Buffets are usually cheaper than sit down dinners and the variety is a good hedge against picky eaters. You might consider ordering trays of food from a favorite restaurant. Here's how to calculate how much food and drink to have on hand for your celebration. (Just remember that it's always better to err on the side of too much.)

For beer or wine, figure two glasses per guest.

For hors d'oeuvres, plan on two of each type per guest, more if it will be a long time between appetizers and dinner.

If you're hosting a buffet dinner, prepare enough of each entre to feed 75% of your guests.

Lastly, no silver wedding anniversary party would be complete without champagne for a toast, and some kind of dessert. There are two things to remember about the toast. First, don't stock too much champagne; most guests will take only a sip for the toast. Second, the toast is the host's responsibility, though you might consider soliciting a few words from other special guests, say, the couple's best man if he's there.

The traditional dessert is a cake, often some version of a wedding cake with a 25th anniversary cake topper. But don't be a slave to tradition. If the couple loves pies, then pies it is!

Floral Light Yellow Silk Qipao Dress For Summer S034419
The fabric chosen for this series of qipao / cheongsam is of fine brocade, skin-friendly and breathable. The silhouette of this nice dress is absolutely modern. The nice printing on this qipao has a distinct oriental and solemnly generous taste. With quality materials and exclusive design, it can be worn either on casual or formal occasions.
The silver is a milestone wedding anniversary, so if you are planning a more formal celebration, you could consider getting engraved invitations. A classy touch, engraved invitations also make nice mementos, especially if you incorporate some elements from the couple's original wedding invitation. Letterpress is the gold standard for engraved invites. Whatever you choose, plan to send invitations 46 weeks in advancesooner for outofstate guests. Also, make sure the invitation telegraphs the kind of event you're planning so that guests will know what to expect and what to wear. Is it a surprise party? Is there a theme? You don't want the ladies showing up in cocktail dresses if you're hosting a square dance. Likewise, make sure that whatever ruse you employ to get the couple to the party is attireappropriate. Don't tell them you're taking them to a Cowboys' game if you're planning a formal sitdown dinner.

Decorating is where you can really let your creative side shine. Think outside the box and have lots of fun planning the decorations. The color scheme for a traditional 25th anniversary is silver. The occasion's traditional flower is the iris. But sometimes the best ideas are the unconventional ones. Try to add custom flourishes that capture the uniqueness of the couple you're honoring. "If they have an RV and they're traveling around the country, name the tables after places they've been, or order a cake in the shape of an RV," suggests Wendi Hroncich. "Celebrate their life together with photos of their family, one on each table." Hroncich consulted on one formal 25th anniversary party where the couple's children, who were hosting, prepared a slideshow of their parents' wedding photos and displayed their mother's wedding dress. Another group of sibling hosts gave their parents a traditional wedding ceremony, because the original had been a small athome affair.

Special touches and gifts are another way to make the event memorable for the couple and the guests. If you're wondering what types of gifts to get, here are some suggestions. After 25 years together, most couples have pretty much everything they need. Some invitations specify "no gifts" or ask that, in lieu of a gift, attendees make a contribution to the couple's favorite charity. If anniversary gifts are kosher, you could, as host, consider having the couple "register" at their favorite store. A gift register is rare for a 25th anniversary, but not unheard of. You might also ask guests if they'd like to chip in on one big gift, a second honeymoon trip, for example. Small presents are lovely too, especially if thoughtfully chosen. For example, you could give silver photo frames, handmade albums or scrapbooks, or custom bottles of wine blended just for the honorees. It's customary for the host to give the couple and each guest some memento of the occasionfavors, if you will. "You don't want something that's going to end up in the back of the junk drawer," cautions Hroncich. Engraved place cards, menus or champagne flutes are possibilities. Edible favors are always a good ideachocolate truffles, cookies with the couple's monogram, or a jar of homemade jam from the family recipe. Hroncich recalls one wineloving couple that presented their guests with customized wine stoppers, and another that gave away lottery tickets with a note saying, "We hope you get as lucky as we've been these last 25 years."

If you feel overwhelmed, at a loss for how to plan the party or are simply running out of time, remember you can always hire a professional party planner to help you. They'll remember everything from flowers and invitations to the themes, catering and even napkins and favors. The party planners will consult with you to execute a celebration tailored to the couple of the online shopping clothes cheap rates hour. Hopefully these ideas help you throw the perfect bash for the married couple. Now you know how to plan a 25th anniversary party!

Did you snub anyone on your wedding day

All this talk about the coveted invitations to Prince William and Kate Middleton royal wedding makes me think of how ruthless I was when it came to my wedding guest list.

I was determined not to have a big, impersonal wedding. (I can fathom the pictures of traditional chinese clothing reported 1,900 that are invited to the royal wedding. It makes my face hurt just thinking of all that fake smiling that poor couple is going to have to do in the receiving line.)

Yet, after years of judging friends who didn intend to have big weddings, but somehow got pressured into it, I quickly learned how easily guilt and obligation can turn 50 to 100, and 150 to 300, and on and on.

That is if your not willing to be ruthless. And if ever there was a time a couple should be allowed to be, and be forgiven for being, ruthless, it should be their wedding day. Their. wedding. day.

What a nightmare it must be to have the media scrutinizing and broadcasting all of this information about your wedding guest list, who in, who out, in the name of entertainment.

Short Lace Red Qipao Dress for Wedding W014044
High-quality lace in front of this qipao dress, with soft brocade at the back. Exclusive tailoring, the waisted design adds elegance of this wedding qipao dress and caters the modern fashion. Suitable for wedding and many formal occasions. Very elegant and luxurious!

I certainly snubbed more than a few people outoftouch childhood friends, certain aunts, uncles and cousins, some of my mother best friends. These people made, then were smited from, the list simply to avoid the dreaded, pricey, exponentialgrowth, snowball effect. It a slippery slope.

I have no regrets. My wedding was lovely, small (75 guests), and quiet under blooming apple tree on my parents back yard with our closest friends and family. I actually enjoyed myself and got to talk to everyone. Ian dress kilt was almost prettier than mine.

As far as I know, no one went on a hunger strike to get invited to my wedding.

Tell me about your wedding guest list? Were you ruthless, or gracious? Do you have any regrets? Does any of it matter now? Have you ever been snubbed?

I was planning a wedding in my hometown near Buffalo, NY from Virginia. My husband family lives in Miami and he got close friends in CA. I tried to do it all, but after my MIL 3rd phone call to add MORE names (Vietnamese family, and she kept another relative we had to invite), and many vendors not returning emails or phone calls because I was of area nevermind my panic attack when it was time to go try on dresses eloped. It was perfect. Three years later next month and I still so incredibly happy with our little ceremony. (Which was supposed to be in our backyard, but it was raining on our wedding day so we got married in our living room.)

We snubbed EVERYONE on our wedding day. It was my 2nd wedding, so I already done the big wedding thing, and hubby couldn have cared less, so we went to Key West and got married on the beach! We did take 2 of our friends (a couple) with us as our witnesses. The week chinese clothing online after we got back we held a reception for our friends, but did it cheaply I made the cake, we rented out a boathouse on a lake for less than $400, and had beer and munchies. Our biggest expense was to hire our favorite local musician for the night, but it was totally worth it!

We snubbed everyone. One monday morning we called a Justice of the Peace, headed to the town hall, paid our $30 and got married. His mother cried, she wished she could have been there. My mother flipped her lid and automatically assumed I was pregnant (I was not.) Now it 7 years later, and we still happily married with our 2 year old son. Our moms have since forgiven us. I do wish I had the memory of a wedding though, and we plan to have a small renewal of the vows ceremony some day. And people will have to be snubbed.

White And Black Short Qipao Dress 2015 Summer C074413
This nice full dress is of modern cutting in slim fit with maxi length. The long loose fitting chiffon dress is gathered at the natural waistline before flowing in beautiful layers that drape loosely to the floor. This dazzling long dress for prom or formals features a spotlight catching jeweled embellishments.

I snubbed everyone on my wedding day. This was my first marriage. At the time my now husband was hell bent on buying a house because it was a buyer market and we could actually afford to buy a home. For whatever reason my husband thought we could buy a home and have a wedding. I was more into eloping or doing a small wedding with just close family members. We live in CO and our family lives on the east coast. We had to have our wedding in TN, where his grandparents live, because his grandparents couldn travel. I wanted to have in in CO because it absolutely gorgeous out here. Not to mention his mom kept butting in stating we had to have a wedding at a chapel. The wedding seemed like it was turning into doing things to make others happy and others not caring what we thought. So finally one day I told my husband that we had to sit down and look at numbers for the wedding and buying a home. There was no way we could afford to do both so we both chose to buy a house and elope. We been married for 3 years now and I couldn be happier.

haha, Sharon! its obligatory mostaccioli during a south St Louis reception that we snubbed! We also snubbed plenty of people, and got married on the beach in Jamaica. Both of our parents were able to go, plus his grandma and her helper, and my sisters. Snubbed from the ceremony were his sisters and their kids, my brother, my sisters husbands, and my grandparents. That was their choice, made by finances and available schedules. We had decent sized party about six weeks after the wedding and invited everybody, but also did that on the sunday of labor day weekend, so we had a lot of no shows helping out our budget. I would not have had it any other way! The ceremony was truly and we got a ceremony when the healer I had studied during my undergrad field work married us the water and the book gotta wait for the law to consummate! the day before our actual wedding. This summer, my husband 20 year high school reunion is in Vegas never been. We trying to plan a very short and inexpensive trip there for our ten year anniversary reeloping!

And betsy family reads this, right?! I guessing that you figure enough time has passed that no one will be mad they missed your actual wedding?!

I have no regrets! We had been to so many weddings the few years before ours that were 150+, at an expensive venure, had a wedding planner, photographer, dj, etc. and had a schedule to follow and if it didn happen that way some one would pay! So we opted for a very small (only 30 people that were only immediate family: mothers, fathers, siblings, and grandparents) wedding at his parents house. His grandfather who was a judge married us. There was no dj or photographer just a lot of disposable cameras and our ipod with a playlist we put together. It was catered by my dad friend and my hair and makeup was done by my brother girlfriend who is a makeup artist but that was it. No traditional wedding dress or tux or bridesmaids or groomsmen. And the ceremony was short and sweet and sans the religious stuff because neither of us are and then it was all about the food and we actually got to spend time with everyone. It was perfect for us. I would not have had it any other way.

I wanted a smallish wedding (like 150 close friends and family) but we ended up with over 300. My husband father was a pastor of a church, so of course, the whole church had to be invited and of course they all came. It was till really nice though. We found versions of songs we liked done by the Vitamin String Quartet to play while we went down and back up the aisle, so we made it our own. The ceremony was exactly 15 minutes, the perfect amount of time. Looking back, it really was more or less a perfect wedding.

I was shocked by the outoftouch relatives (aunts and uncles) who were mad that they weren invited to our wedding! We didn (and now still don write, talk or see each other. Why invite them if you want to keep it small, personal and affordable?

I thought I was doing them a favor by not obligating them to come (don people complain about going to a wedding for a barelyknown person?). Not exactly. I got a major freeze out from my dad side. Sadly, I written them off now. I was shocked by their bad manners, just as they were shocked by mine! LOL.

But I will never complain about not being invited to a wedding. I love them, and I love to go, but I completely understand how expensive each guest is, and how limited space is. It not personal.

we invited all the important people in our online clothes shopping lives. Almost all of both of our gigantic families were there and our close friends it was 200+ people but I happy to say I knew all but 4 people (Hubby cousins who live far away) and it made out wedding super special, as we put it no extras. I did snub one person my Uncle who I think is a douche, he made my fathers funeral the previous year about him, told me I never get over my father dying and then tried to extort money from my grieving mother, yeah def a good decision on my part.

Traditional Asian Attire

Traditional Attire in Bangladesh and IndiaAlthough Bangladesh and India have various types of traditional wear particular to its own different regions but Saree or also known as Sari, Sarie or Sharee is the predominant traditional and cultural wear of these two SouthEast Asian countries. Saree is a six yard long piece of single cloth which the ladies of these regions wrap around their lower anatomy from the waist(on top of a single petticoat of a matching colour) mostly, with about 2 yards covering the upper torso known as the pallu (in India) and achol or anchal (in Bangladesh). Sarees are generally worn with a short blouse covering the female torso but usually not covering the navel. There are however many different ways that a sari can be worn. In fact it was famously stated by the fashion designer, Shaina NC, that she can drape a saree in 54 different styles!

The word Saree comes from Sanskrit which literally means a "strip of cloth". Saree symbolizes grace and elegance and holds appeal to the females of Bangladesh and India and many other countries due to its timeless beauty. It is one of the main attires worn by the bride on their wedding ceremony in Bangladesh and India. Despite sarees being sensuous and sometimes quite revealing, as it keeps the midriff of the female body bare, are worn to parties, wedding ceremonies and formal meetings and gatherings.

Sarees come in all types of materials starting from cotton, silk, chiffon, crepe, tissue and many more. Sarees can be as simple as just a 9 yard material with no embellishments to gorgeous wedding sarees with gold thread work, kundan, stone work, spring work, embroidery, appliqu, etc.

There was a time when it was the sight of a sparkly engagement ring that took a newly engaged couple's breath away; today it may be the average cost of a wedding that has many gasping for air. According to wedding planner Karen Huber, you can have your dream wedding whatever your budget; you just have to plan for it. Here are Huber's 10 best tips for creating a wedding day that everyone will remember.

1. Get real about your budget. If you and your fianc are handling all or part of the wedding costs, take a realistic look at your finances and figure out how much you can comfortably afford. If your families are willing to contribute, get a clear understanding of what that means. "If you're uncomfortable asking your parents for cash, try asking them to chip in for certain items like the flowers or wedding cake, or to pick up the tab for the rehearsal dinner," says Huber. "The key is to china traditional dresses understand how much you have to work with and then set your expectations accordingly."

This is a kind of peonies embroidered red Chinese gown , which can be worn as official gown and wedding dress. Soft lace and brocade material decorated over the waist of this gown that would show the slim figures of the woman who wear it.

2. Use your head, not your heart. One of the best ways to keep your budget on track is to focus on what you want, not what others expect. "Just because the latest bridal magazine says that Viennese dessert stations and handtied bridal bouquets are 'in' doesn't mean you have to have them. Focus on the wedding elements that you and your fianc agree are important, and cut back on the things that aren't. This will enable you to prioritize your spending."

3. Make it an Alistonly event. Consider inviting only immediate family and close friends. "Trimming the guest list is an easy way to keep your wedding within budget. Plus, when you look back on your special day, you'll be able to honestly say that you spent it with the people who matter most to you in the world," comments Huber.

4. Think outside the box. A gorgeous wedding can be held at a nontraditional venue, such as a garden, vineyard, museum, community center, or even at your alma mater or the home of a friend or family memberand many of these locations are free or very low cost. If you prefer a more traditional wedding spot, be prepared to do your homework. To get the deal you want, you may have to be flexible on the day and chinese traditional wedding dress time of your wedding, food choices and other details. However, "there are lots of economical ways to add excitement to your wedding," says Huber. "For instance, consider skipping the multitiered wedding cake, which can add hundreds of dollars to your reception bill. Instead, order a smaller version for the cakecutting ceremony and a lesscostly sheet cake for serving. Another idea: Forgo the filet of beef and chinese traditional dress seafood appetizers and offer budgetfriendly comfort foods like macandcheese in martini glasses, minigrilled cheese bits and tiny crab cakes. These will still delight your guests and save you money."

This wedding dress showing a great body shape and making it a charming fashionable chic suitable for all occasions.

5. Skip the open bar. Bar costs can add significantly to a wedding budget, which is why Huber says many couples prefer to offer guests beer and wine along with a signature cocktail, rather than an open bar. For an added touch, Huber recommends having your signature drink attractively garnished with curled lemon and lime peels or mini fruit kabobs. "Garnishes are usually provided at no charge by venues and caterers, yet they give the appearance that you've spent more." Huber also suggests closing the bar an hour before your reception is scheduled to end. "That gives guests time to sober up before the drive home; it may also save you significant dollars on your final bar bill."

6. Don't go overboard on invitations. Skip the printed savethedate cards and use email instead. "You'll save money and a branch or two of a small tree in the process," says Huber. "When ordering printed wedding invitations, look carefully at their size and weight. Many are multilayered and bulky, which can add significantly to your postage costs."

7. Enlist your family and friends. Is there a musician in your family who can perform during your ceremony? What about an artistic friend who can design and print the invitations and table cards? "Many of my clients have tapped family and friends to help with decorations, music, printing and other needs. Sometimes that help is given free of charge; other times it's in lieu of a wedding gift," says Huber. "Either way, enlisting the help of people you know can make your wedding even more memorable while saving you money in the process."

8. Think offtherack. These days, brides have lots of options for getting a dream dress at a price they can afford; the key is doing your homework. In addition to bridal salons, consider department stores, bargain shops and online sites like eBay and Etsy. What about borrowing a dress or buying one that's been gently worn? "I know a bridetobe who bought two inexpensive white dresses at a consignment shop. She took the top from the first dress and paired it with the skirt from the second and then handdyed the two with green tea. The result was a oneofakind wedding gown that beautifully reflected this young women's unique stylefor less than $150."

9. Smile for the camera. Photography can be a bigticket item at a wedding. If you find the photographer you want is out of your price range, ask if he or she will work with you on an la carte or hourly basis. That way, you may be able to wait until after the wedding and use gift money to help pay for proofs or albums.

10. Partner with a professional. It's been said that it can take an average of 250 hours to plan a wedding. That's a big time commitment, especially when you and your fianc are also balancing work and other commitments. For that reason, Huber says that many couples partner with a professional to help plan their big day. "A wedding planner will help organize all the details of your wedding, do the legwork when it comes to tracking down venue options and vendors, absorb the stress of negotiating contracts and help you keep your wedding on budget. And because an experienced planner has established relationships with a wide range of vendors, you may be able take advantage of moneysaving discounts."

It's very easy to fall into the weddingspending vortex, but don't lose sight of why you're really celebrating. At the end of the day, your family and friends won't remember the name of your signature drink or the color of your floral arrangements. Instead, they'll be talking about how happy you looked and what a great time they had. With your budget in hand and some careful planning, you can have your dream wedding and still have money left over for your "happily ever after."
